Parovarian Serous Tumor of Borderline Malignancy -A Case Report-

Abstract

|
|
Parovarian epithelial tumor with low grade malignant potential microscopically is a relatively rare and unclear entity comparing to the ovarian counterpart. In addition, there are some controversies on the origin, biologic behavior and histologic
grading of the parovarian epithelial tumor.
The authors had experienced a case of left parovarian cystic tumor in a 23-year-old multiparous woman, and the cystic mass revealed intraluminal fine papillary growing areas with histologic evidences of borderline malignancy. Therefore we
reported
the
histologic findings including the results of special staining of this rare entity and possible histogenesis through the review of literatures.
